Banana Halwa Recipe

You’ve undoubtedly eaten a variety of halwa, but have you ever heard of one made with a banana? Here’s a wonderful Kerala dessert recipe, which is prepared on special occasions and festivals and will make your mouth water. This lovely sweet dish is made using banana, ghee, green cardamom powder, and sugar in its creation. Bananas are already too sweet, so this Banana Halwa does not use much sugar. The bananas in this recipe aren’t very sweet because they’re already too rich; it’s just used to enhance the flavour of the dish. Ingredients of Banana Halwa

  • 8 banana
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered green cardamom
  • 6 tablespoon ghee
  • 10 tablespoon sugar

How to make Banana Halwa

Step 1 Mash the bananas
  • To make this delectable banana halwa, peel the bananas and mash them in a large mixing dish. In a pan on medium heat, warm ghee. When the ghee is melted, add the mashed bananas and simmer on low heat until thickened, about an hour.
Step 2 Cook them
  • Stir in the mashed bananas with a small amount of ghee and cook for 15 minutes, or until the bananas are light brown in color. To prevent the bananas from sticking at the bottom of the pan, keep stirring them.
Step 3 Ready to be served
  • Place the pan over low heat for 15 minutes, or until it begins to simmer. Then add the cardamom powder and stir once again for a few seconds before removing it from the heat. Pour the halwa into a serving dish and allow it to cool at room temperature. Banana halwa is now ready to serve in thick slices.
